In that picture, the question I'm being asked is what life process is best represented by this overall diagram and why? Well, I know it's photosynthesis because, well it can be easily seen, but I don't know how to explain that it's photosynthesis. Help on the why portion please?

I bet my son the moon was rotating around the earths axis and he said it rotated around it`s own axis.
As this bet involves a not unsubstantial amount of money ( 1 million pounds) i wondered if I had fallen into a basic semantics trap. ie had I mistaken `moving` for rotation?
or are we both correct ?

Dark matter has been blamed for the irregular clumping and filamenting of huge numbers of galaxies. I don't see it. If the Universe expanded and then became asymmetrical, the condensing would continue toward centers of gravity, and not necessarily uniformly on a cosmic scale. If dark matter was 95% of the mass of the Universe, then this would explain NON-clumping and the *absence* of filaments. And if such matter exists and it interacts gravitationally, wouldn't there be gravitational centers where it constitutes the majority of the mass, like in giant stars? Yet we don't see any unexplained mass there. How can this stuff be 95% of the Universe and essentially 0% of stars?

I know 'living' is sometimes hard to define but does science have any explanations?

I am supposing it was some microscopic algae or bacteria...if so, is there any fossil record of this species, or is it still in existence?

Thanks!

Where 'P' is a matrix and 'x' is a vector:

Px = the projection of x onto <1,1>. What is the the matrix P relative to the basis { <1, -1>, <1,1>}

I'm thought the answer was:

| 0 1 |
| 0 1 |

Because the projection of <1, -1> onto <1,1> is <0,0> and the projection of <1, 1> onto <1,1> is <1,1>, but my choices are

| 2 1 |
| 1 2 | - A

| 1/2 1/2 |
| 1/2 1/2 | - B

| 0 0 |
| 0 1 | - C

and

| 1 0 |
| 0 0 | - D

---

| a d |
| b c | is the matrix for T relative to the standard basis. What is the matrix for T relative to the basis {<0, -1>, <1, 0>}

I'm completely stumped on this one. Even if someone could just nudge me in the right direction i would be appreciative... Thanks!
