When it is well established that positive ions are created due to the loss of electrons and ions do not move then why do we follow the wrong word ?

One possible cause may be that we still follow the conventional method. But if so, why? can't we follow the modern and correct words ?

I just answered a question about a girl wanting to knock down a squirrel's nest in her tree. How is it that I've lived 37 years and never knew squirrels made nests? I thought they lived in holes in trees or empty logs and such. Do they really build nests llike a bird??

A 60 g ball is tied to the end of a 50-cm-long string and swung in a vertical circle. The center of the circle, as shown in Figure, is 150 cm above the floor. The ball is swung at the minimum speed necessary to make it over the top without the string going slack.

If the string is released at the instant the ball is at the top of the loop, where does the ball hit the ground?

A 1900 kg car experiences a combined force of air resistance and friction that has the same magnitude whether the car goes up or down a hill at 27 m/s. Going up a hill, the car's engine needs to produce 47 horsepower more power to sustain the constant velocity than it does going down the same hill. At what angle is the hill inclined above the horizontal?

My fiance was bitten by a small yellow sac spider this past weekend, and he refuses to have it looked at. I'm an arachnophobic and this just horrifies me! I can't research this online much past the short descriptions given on Google, b/c I don't like to see pictures of spiders. If anyone can give me a little info on whether he needs to go to the doctor, that would be GREAT!
