I am looking for genuine answers here...not some insipid crap that I watch fall off people's fingertips around here constantly.

There was an abandoned mental hospital relatively close to where I had spent the majority of my life. I felt very passionately about preserving the building and in its final days spent as much time lurking around it as possible. I had never gone there to look for ghosts, for it was truly the historical value that drew me to this place.

I took my friend Nicole for a trip up there one night, just to drive by. To keep a long story short, I had pulled up to the main gate and was about to do a three pointer to head back out. When I looked into the rear view, I saw what looked like a tiny tornado on the side of the road a few hundred feet behind us. It was a funnel of a thick fog-like consistency, about 3-5 feet tall. It struck me as odd, but I didn't think too much of it and thought perhaps there was a drain over where it was coming from.

As far as I can see they just wander about all day, where are its offspring? How come I never see a baby spider, is it simply too small?

I saw a spider continuingly trying to get up a wall and it kept falling off, and yet every single time it tried again and again.

Are insects devoid of emotions such as anger and compassion, would it be best to illustrate how they work by saying that they are like robots with preprogrammed reactions to their immediate environment?

A train slows down as it rounds a sharp horizontal turn, slowing from 97.4 km/h to 47.8 km/h in the 12.9 s that it takes to round the bend. The radius of the curve is 136 m. Compute the acceleration at the moment the train speed reaches 47.8 km/h. Assume that it continues to slow down at this time at the same rate.

Young David who slew Goliath experimented with slings before tackling the giant. He found that he could revolve a sling of length 0.600 m at the rate of 7.00 rev/s. If he increased the length to 0.900 m, he could revolve the sling only 5.00 times per second.
(a) What is the speed of the stone for each rate of rotation?
m/s at 7.00 rev/s, at m/s at 5.00 rev/s
(b) What is the centripetal acceleration of the stone at 7.00 rev/s?
(c) What is the centripetal acceleration at 5.00 rev/s?
