"Mutation only causes physical changes if it occurs in the sequence of a gene" The book had never before mentioned the sequence of a gene so I want an explanation to what it is and what this means.

You have already explained Einstien explanation on why we cannot travel faster than the speed of light and while I dont really understand it I accept that what you say as gospel. My question is,If I can see a star that exploded whatever in the early 70s when I was born and sience made it possible for me to instantly transport my self to that location and then instantly transport myself back , would I arrive back in the early 70s and if not why not?

I am given the equation x(x^2-3), x=2
I have already fond the gradient (m). I found first the derivative F'(x) which is f'(x)= 3x^2-3, and later on I found the F'(2), which gave me 9, so the gradient is 9
Now I must find the equation of the tangent, for the time being I have
Y= mx+b
So
Y= 9x+b <-- I have tried but I can't find the value of B, do you know how to find it?

Thank you very much!
Any help is much appreciated! =)

I need a measuring device not too expensive which I can use at home. I need a measuring device which measure distance by reflection of light and tell me the distance digitally. I don't want to use a meter tape. I need at least a device which measure at least a distance of 10m to 20m. Its like a do it your own tool.

background:
Rabbits have been artificially immunized with sheep red blood cells in order to stimulate the production of agglutination and lysis. In this experiment the agglutination of the rabbit serum is measured. So I need to determine the agglutination titres of immune and non immune sera.
If the experiment went perfectly, do u know what would results i'd get? Please dont think im cheating, I misplaced the results,I've only got a photo of the haemagglutination tray.

method:
The immune rabbit serum was heated for 30 mins, to inactivate natural complement present in the serum. Then we made a serial dilution of the rabbit serum in phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Then placed 0.2ml from each dilution into a well in the hemaglutination tray.To each well we added 0.2ml of a 2% solution of sheep red blood cells in PBS pH7.2. Then we set up control wells containing 0.2ml dilution buffer and 0.2ml cell suspension. Then repeated method with non immune serum but with fewer dilutions.

In our lifetime, is it possible to see a supernova? If the light takes so long to get here, than we'd have to wait millions - billions of years to see a supernova, and even by then, wouldn't it have already happened billions of years ago, making what we're seeing like time travel, in a way?

We're just mere humans. It sounds insulting, but that's it, isn't it?

What if what we see, interpret, analyze, and conclude is all illusion, regardless of the mathematical accuracy that we perceive as being accurate.

The size of the cosmo is just too much...

The difference between a spider and a human is half big. The human in comparison to a state is huge. The state in comparison to the earth is huge. The earth in comparison to jupiter. Jupiter to the Solar System. The Solar System to the Milky Way. The Milky Way to the Local Group. The Local Group to the Virgo Supercluster. The Virgo Supercluster to the Cosmos itself and at least 9 other superclusters.

I can't comprehend it, and because I can't, just leads me to believe that it'll never be disovered, or it's just illusion.

What do you think?
