You plan to make 6 times a chili recipe and 6 times a guacamole recipe. The chili calls for 2/3 cup of chopped tomatoes and guacamole needs 3/4 cup. One small tomato makes about 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes. Will 12 small tomatoes be enough?

I love wordplay, but actually am kinda' curious on this one. If you don't already know, any organic matter can be processed into synthetic diamonds - some folks even have their deceased loved ones preserved in that manner. So if x = number of average-sized carrots processed into a synthetic diamond, solve for "x" in this equation:

x carrots = 1 carat

Curious. :-)

A railway car is in the shape of a rectangular prism. The railway car is 3 m wide, 20 m long and has a height of 2.8 m. determine then volume of the railway car in cubic cm.
okay there is 100 cm in 1 m so 3 x 100= 300, 20 x 100 =2000, 2.8 x 100= 280. I multiplied all of them and I got 168000000 cubic centimeters. Is this right? if wrong I'm I suppose to add all of them instead of multiplying all of them? Thank you

A reaction of 0.028g of magnesium with excess hydrochloric acid generated 31.0 mL of a gas. The gas was collected by water displacement in a 22 degree celsius water bath. The barometric pressure in the lab was 746 mm Hg. Using Dalton's Law and the vapor pressure of water at 22 degrees celsius, calculate the partial pressure of hydrogen gas. Use the combined gas law to calculate the "corrected" volume of hydrogen at STP.
