Suppose that you don't know that the relation,
mechanical work W=F.S.

In this circumastances can you derive the equation Ek=1/2mv^2 (without using the relation W=F.S)?

I think any of the two relation (W=F.S and Ek=1/2mv^2) is axiomatic and they are circular. So that you can't get one of them without using the other. When one of them is defined axiomaticaly you can get the other.
Am I correct? please inform me!!

my wife has bipolar disorder and has recently having seizures. They happen when she is extremely stressed. they last for several minutes. she has no memory of them. she also has cerebral palsy with mild myoclonus. But during the seizures, her myoclonus increase and she moans and groans through out. I have had experience with many types of seizure in my life but this is new. I researched and it appears to be psychogenic. Has anyone heard of bipolar with psychogenic seizures. She does not respond to anti-epileptics.

Astronomers have spotted and weighed a tiny galaxy located 6 billion light-years away, or nearly halfway across the universe.

Dubbed SDSSJ0737+3216, the just discovered galaxy is 100 times lighter than our own Milky Way and is the smallest galaxy ever identified at that distance. It is about half the size and approximately one-tenth the "weight" of typical small galaxies found closer to Earth.

If you were to shoot a bullet, then slow down time and stand infront of the bullet, would it it you with the same amount of force as before you slowed down time?

Say you were to somehow distort space/time for only yourself, and someone fires the gun, and you slow down all time for yourself; The people in the original space/time see the bullet blow your brains out, but would it actually hit you like it would without time slowed down? If it doesnt, what would happen if you were to undistort your space/time? Would you see yourself dead on the ground and also be standing infront of everyone?

How long would human race survive without the benefits of the sun? 10 minutes? 10 hours? 10 days? Could it stand the cold longer? How long would it take for the atmosphere to get below zero degrees?
