hi! i need help learning about binary numbers. when I was younger, I was showed how to get binary numbers in the form of a game. I really understood it, but now i totally forgot. I need to know how to change a whole number into a binary number, and how to change it back. Okay, well, I have a couple questions in one, so please answer and I'll be VERY happy! thank you

1) Is an equation with cubed in it at anytime a hyperbola? I mean, will you get a hyperbola with a function with 'cubed' in it?

2) How do solve an equation with cubed in it? For example, 2^3 + 4 = 12. i know its easy, but how do u properly solve it?

3) x^2/a^2 - y^2/b^2...the hyperbola function..HOW DO YOU DO IT!!!! lol

4) How do you get a parabola that is facing left or right, not up or down?

You measure 5 ml of a solution and determine its mass on a balance. You repeat this procedure four times. You try the experiment again. This time you have four new values for mass, as shown below. What is the statement that best describes the measurements?

Experiment 1: 5.7g, 5.8g, 5.7g, 5.8g
Experiment 2: 4.9g, 5.0g, 4.8g, 5.3g

a) the measurements in both experiements are accurate and precise
b) the measurements in both experiements are not accurate but are precise
c) the measurements in experiment 1 are not accurate but are precise; the measurements in experiment 2 are accurate but not precise
d) the measurements in experiement 1 are accurate and not precise; the measurements in experiment 2 are not accurate and not precise

Pluto the dog jumps between 2 buildings
1) in the first stunt, the buildings are 40m above ground and the gap between them is 6m. If the dog takes off at 8m/s what range of angles to the horizontal must he take off at in order to complete the jump?

2)in the 2nd stunt the gap between the buildings is 8m, but a takeoff ramp is provided. show my differention that if the dogs take off speed is V0, the maximum range occurs for takeoff angles of 45degrees.

3)find the minumum takeoff speed at which the dog can make the 8m jump.

Please help me!

What about something like a human, but with 10 brains? The brains would all share the same nervous system, so wouldn't it be smarter than a one brained human? Or just have more than one frontal lobe?

I've been thinking about it since I read an article about how science has created a new bacteria.

I noticed that there are two equations for speed and three for acceleration:

Speed:

1. Speed= distance/time

2.Average Speed= distance covered/time interval

How do I know which ones to use when solving a speed problem?

Acceleration:

1. A=change in velocity/time interval

2. A=change in speed/time interval

3. A=net force/mass

When solving an acceleration problem, how would I know which equation to use?

Please keep the explanations simple and add examples in necessary.

Thank you!!

Combustion of C12H22O11(s) (sucrose or "table sugar") produces CO2(g) and H2O(l).
When 2.37 g of sucrose is combusted in a constant volume (bomb) calorimeter, 39.1 kJ of heat is liberated.

Calculate deltaE for the combustion of 7.50g of sucrose.

The problem is with separating the wavelengths to each detector from a single lens. Is there a coating I could use to reflect one of the wavlengths while the other passes through? Would it be best to split the beam first then use filters before each detector to single out the IR/visible?
My goal is to image both a visible AND thermal scene with one objective. I can handle everything from the detector to the display but I need a bit of help with the optics. Of course I'm looking for the simplist and cheapest method (IR and cheap don't really go together), but any REAL solutions would be great. Thanks
