One of my professors had this comic on his door- it shows a cat looking at a table with many triangles and angles drawn on it, as if the cat was calculating serious trig before making its jump.

Does anyone know where I can find this online? I'd love to have a copy of it!!!

If you were to cycle/walk/drive starting from the very top of the West coast of Washington State and continue down the West coast, then across the very bottom of the Southern United States to the southern tip of Florida. Then up the East coast to Maine and finally across the U.S./Canadian border back to your start point in Washington State what would be your total travel distance? And has anybody attempted this?

The fastest recorded pitch in MLB was thrown by Nolan Ryan in 1974. If this pitch were thrown horizontally....the ball would fall 0.809 m by the time it reached home plate, 18.3 m away.

The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s2

How fast was Ryan's pitch? In m/s

A tennis player receives a shot with the ball (0.0600 kg) traveling horizontally at 58.0 m/s and returns the shot with the ball traveling horizontally at 34.0 m/s in the opposite direction. (Assume the initial direction of the ball is in the -x direction.)

(a) What is the impulse delivered to the ball by the racket?
5.52 N·s 0.0600(34 - (-58))=5.52

(b) What work does the racket do on the ball?
____J

Having trouble figuring out the work.

In the Periodic Table of the elements you note that each electron shell fills to capacity before starting to fill the next shell. At least this is the case as far as Argon. Then at Potassium, the N shell begins to fill even though the M shell contains only 8 of its possible 18 electrons. WHY IS IT SO?

when I think I touched something on my finger and felt a burning/stinging sensation. I looked at my finger and it was a powdery white in the area that was touched. I tried to wash it off with water, but it wouldn't come off.

At around halfway through my next class, I looked down and the powdery stuff was gone. My hand was a little sweaty because I kept it bunched up in a fist.

Anyways, nothing serious happened, but I want to know what I touched and why that happened.

I was working with some chemicals: hydrogen peroxide and manganese dioxide. Those were the only chemicals at the time. I think it might have been the manganese dioxide...

A dockworker loading crates on a ship finds that a 19 kg crate, initially at rest on a horizontal surface, requires a 84 N horizontal force to set it in motion. However, after the crate is in motion, a horizontal force of 50 N is required to keep it moving with a constant speed. Find the coefficients of static and kinetic friction between crate and floor.

hey guys : a problem with this sequence : u(n) = n²(2/3)^n
i found in a book that :
lim n²(2/3)^n = o
but i don't get it, cause as far as i know :
lim n² = +infinity and lim (2/3)^n = 0 lim n²(2/3) = +infinity x 0 wich is an indefinite form....
help me know why it would be 0, i'd really appreciate it ...

I need to make soap. I need to know a recipe that says everything I need to know including the amount of ingredients, the materials, and how I will have to make the soap. The recipe should preferably have lye as an ingredient, but lye crystals are okay. Also, if you are going to give a link, don't give anything confusing. Also, can you say a place where lye can be bought in Rockford, Illinois? Thanks a lot!
