Their time has come. These people put their selves at risk to help others. I respect that.

Paranormal investigation is a field that is on the rise.It is a subject that causes contraversy and as you and I can attest bring on some heated debate. It is tainted and hyped up by tv there are investigators who do it just for the title.I have been doing this along time zach. What my inner motivation was that started it I cannot say.Maybe from experiences I had when I was young maybe it was my need to know and search for life after death maybe it was my need to to disprove and expose peoples false claims.I would say (All the aove) It is a passion Zach, a need to search and learn to disprove and prove but I can tell you I disprove about 90% of the claims that I have dealt with over the years.I keep asking myself and wondering about why some of your questions are negativley directed at paranormal investigators? Did you have a bad experience with one? or someone you know? If so I am sorry. The world is full a fraud on the otherhand it is full of truth.I can promise you that I have never told a client that their house or property was haunted or that spirits visit them I have shown them evidence of things I cannot explain I let them be the judge. And I have never and I repeat never! charged a client for my services.and I don't give T-shirts.We are critisized called stupid and told we are crazy for doing what we do.I do not have to try and explain myself to others. And I sure won't try and convince you that some of the crap you see on tv is truth. And if others see paranormal investigations as wasted time and sensless I could care less. It's my choice! But like I said Zach this is a subject of many heated debates and probably aways will be. Hopefully you will find a solution over your issues with paranormal investigators. And before you make a claim against a person calling them phonies.explain yourself, show the fraud, know who you are talking about ,don't put everyone into the same category that caused you to base your opinon.I wish you well in your search.

My opinion is that some are unbiased and objective. However, the ones that seem to get the most attention are nothing more than anomaly hunters. They are not approaching the matter subjectively. Rather, they appear to believe in ghosts and are simply on an expedition to find supporting evidence. If they encounter anything that isn't immediately explainable they immediately chalk it up as ghosts.

The TV shows I've seen are positively laughable from a science perspective. I won't judge them all based on this sample though. I am sure there are legitimate investigators out there, but as of yet the only one I've encountered is Joe Nickel.

I think some of them are just there for the hype ... but there are others that are there for the correct reasons. I like how TAPS try to disprove the fact they are there.

I moved out of a home that had at least 10 spirits in it ... I wonder if they have made themselves known yet .... One was the guy that built the house and I know he has to be really mad because they took all the trees out of the yard ... and they were their Christmas trees over the years ....

We accidentally put a nick in the wood floor and a light fixture came flying off of the wall. I wonder what happened over the trees ....

Hmmmm ....

I think the majority give more weight to conjecture, old wives tales and rumor, and discard logic, reason, and evidence.
This goes doubly so for the ones with TV shows, who obviously care more about ratings than truth.

Some are just there for show and are not for real. When some really know what is going on.
