Eskimos live in igloos because they like the cold. If they didn't like the cold, they wouldn't live in them. Besides, they have enough equipment to keep them warm anyway.
Antibiotics don't always work if the adults or children are given it incorrectly. Antibiotics sometimes work though. When you ignore your cold and don't take antibiotics, then you won't feel better. That is called Antibiotic resistance. Antibiotic resistance happens when bacteria change in some way that eliminates the effect of drugs, chemicals, or other agents designed to cure or prevent infections. Inappropriate use of antibiotics is fuelling an increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria. So the next time you really need an antibiotic for a bacterial infection, it may not work.
Thousands died after drinking Samsu because there was some sort of drug or poison in it.
Alcohol has many other effects on the body. This is why it is the most abused drug in the world.
· Stomach irritation - can cause ulcers
· Liver damage - alcohol is destroyed by the liver but liver cells are also casualties (see below)
· Mouth and throat - cancers are more common in heavy drinkers
· Nutritional damage caused by neglect of a proper diet
· Brain damage caused directly by alcohol in the blood - in severe cases causing Korsakoff's psychosis, a permanent memory loss
I don't know about the tabacco thing.
The part of a cell that I would associate warehouse with would be vacuole- storage area or Golgi Bodies- Mail room.
The organs that our skeletons protect are the heart.
The systems found in plants are sensory systems. The organs involved in these systems are Golgi bodies, Mitochondria, Ribosomes, Endoplasmic Reticulum, Cell Wall, Cell Membrane, Chloroplasts, Nucleus, Nuclear Membrane, Chromatin, and Vacuole.
I don't know if Solar cells work at night under artificial light.

Too many questions put me off. I will answer a few.
Ice is cold, but Eskimos live in igloos which are made of ice. Explain why.
Because ice is also a good insulator and protects the occupants from the sub-zero temperatures outside.
Do cough and cold medicines cure or control the symptoms of illnesses?
They don't really cure the symptoms but give relief (by controlling or suppressing) the symptoms.
A cold is caused by a cold virus. Can antibiotics cure a cold? Why/why not?
Antibiotics can't cure cold caused by a virus but are useful to take care of secondary infections caused by bacteria.

Lotta questions there, you get just one answer :)
Note that igloos are *temporary* shelters the Eskimos use while hunting and travelling - they make much warmer buildings for long-term occupation. The reason why it works is that although ice may be "cold", but an igloo is made of *snow* - which is (a) mostly air, not water, and (b) a pretty good insulator due to all the trapped air.
Once you've built the igloo and gotten inside it, the *inside* surface of the snow will warm up to close to feezing. So you're sitting there recovering from hunting in a 25 degree F (maybe -3 to -5C) igloo. That's still pretty chilly, but it *really* beats being *outside* the igloo, where the wind chill is -70F and lower...

Antibiotics cannot cure a cold, they can only allieviate some of the symptons such as fever. That is why docotrs don't usually prescribe you antibiotics for a cold : they don't work anyway, and the viruses can become resistant to them, meaning that if you have a more serious illness, they cannot be fought with antibiotics. Viruses are not tevhnically alive, so cannot be killed with antibiotics.
Our skeletons protect pretty much all out organs, i.e Skull = brain, Ribcage = heart and lungs, etc.
There's a few answers, anyway!
Ice protects you from the elements (winds, rain, etc). Also, I imagine they can;t that many other materials out there/

-Cough and cold medicines only control symptoms.
-Antibiotics cannot treat a cold because viruses are nonliving and cannot be killed.
