I know it has to do with friction and heat and what not, but I'm wondering about the color of light on this. See, I put two pieces of tape together, and, in the dark, I pulled them apart. They produced a blue band of light at the point where they were being pulled apart. Why is the color of that blue?

5 pulleys, 2 fixed and 3 movable, are connected by a single cord. What load can an effort of 100N move with this machine. I hope the solution would be in detail for me to analyze.
Next, we hadn't made the experiment but I hope you would directly tell me the answer. Which machine would be likely to have the greatest efficiency?why?
Last, How does the actual mech'l advantage of a simple machine change with the load?
Thank you to the person who answers this. And God Bless you.

A woman at an airport is towing her 15.0 kg suitcase at constant speed by pulling on the strap at an angle above the horizontal (Fig. P4.40). She pulls on the strap with a 24.0 N force, and the friction force on the suitcase is 10.0 N.

(a) What angle does the strap make with the horizontal?
65.37 degrees
(b) What normal force does the ground exert on the suitcase?
___?____

I already found the angle but how do I solve the 2nd part?? Thank you!
