A particle movies in a plane so its x and y coordinates vary with time according to the equations:
x=.5 * t^3 - 6t and y=.5 * t^2

I need to eliminate the parameter which I found to be:
x= (√2y) * (y-6)

I need the general form of this equation because I need to sketch the curve. Please show all of the work.

I'm having problems with this math problem.....Kyle had 36 books in his locker. Some were library books, some were textbooks, and the rest were telephone books. The number of library books and telephone books combined equals twice the number of textbooks. The number of textbooks and telephone books combined equals three times the number of library books. How many of each type of book were in Kyle's locker?

Can you please help? And can you tell me how you got it, too? Also, if you know the answer but don't know how to work it, just tell me the answers. Thanks! =)

Calculate the energy change in kJ for the formation of 1.23 mol of LiF(s) given the following information:
Li(g) → Li(s) : −159.4 KJ/mol
F2(g) → 2F(g) : 157.98 KJ/mol
Li(g) → Li+(g) + e− : 520 KJ/mol
F(g) + e− → F−(g) : −328 KJ/mol
Lattice energy for LiF = −1037 KJ/mol

A defibrillator passes a brief burst of current through the heart to restore normal beating. In one such defibrillator, a 40.0 µF capacitor is charged to 6.0 kV. Paddles are used to make an electrical connection to the patient's chest. A pulse of current lasting 1.0 ms partially discharges the capacitor through the patient. The electrical resistance of the patient (from paddle to paddle) is 230 . What is the initial current through the patient?
