how did the titanic float?
and... how did the titanic sink?

The Titanic was able to float by displacing more weight units of water than the weight of the Titanic and it`s contents. It sank because it`s hull cracked and it took on water which added to it`s weight and it no longer displaced more weight units of water than the Titanic and it`s contents weighed.

because it had air bubbles (all the rooms) when the ship hit the iceburg it made wholes that made the rooms start to fill up with water, the boat started to sink....


that is really weird, we were just talking about that is my science class.

The way all boats float, they displace less water, by weight, than what the boat weighs.

Not for long- evidently. And the Iceburg it hit- sank it in just over 2 hours...
