Study biology while pursuing singing. It takes more work, but you'll have something to fall back on if the singing falls through.

The vast majority of people going into a music career don't make it at the professional level. Even if you're a great singer, it all depends on public opinion. You could be loved one day, then people could be bored with you the next (for no good reason).

My cousin and her husband both tried careers in music, but didn't make enough money to live off of. They had alternate degrees though (like a Bachelor's in X with a minor in music), and one was able to become a teacher and the other works with computers. They both pursue music in their spare time now.

If you enjoy it, you should definitely keep singing though. Keep it as a hobby or a side job. Plus, you'll probably enjoy it more, because it will be on your own terms, rather than something you need to do to pay the bills.
