A bus is scheduled to leave at 5.00 pm. A person who wants to catch the bus takes a rickshaw at 4.35 pm from his home. If there is not much traffic on the road he can reach the bus stand in 10 minutes, while in heavy traffic, it may take him 35 minutes. Further it takes him 3 minutes to locate his bus in the stand. Let X denote the time taken for the rickshaw to reach the stand from his home and suppose X has uniform distribution on the interval (10, 35). Obtain the probability that the person catches the bus.

The wife and I are going to go on a 4-hour ghost tour in Chicago in a couple weeks, led by Richard T. Crowe. Crowe is a full-time ghost hunter in Chicago and the greater Midwest area.

Has anyone done this tour in Chicago, or know of Richard Crowe? I'm interested to know what people think of his tours. The few reviews I found on the web were all very positive.

Not sure if this was the best category to place this in, but Yahoo put Paranormal where it is, so I'll go with it.

If we assume that America really did land on the moon, how the f**k did they manage to get back again.
A space shuttle has a big fuel tank on the front and two smaller ones, the big one is disconnected after reaching through the atmosphere, the other two smaller ones are to get to the destination.
Once they landed, how the hell did they get back with no fuel, through two atmospheres (the moon's, and re-entering earth's orbit), and the distance involved, with no fuel, and this was supposed to have happened in the 60's?
Only serious answers please,
Many thanks in advance...

The Hindenberg was a famous hydrogen-filled dirigible that exploded in 1937. What mass of hydrogen was needed to fill the craft at 23 degrees Celsius and 1.0 atm if the volume was 2.23 x 10^5m^3?

What mass of zinc was needed if the Germans used the reaction of zinc and 10.0-M hydrochloric acid to produce the gas the fill the Hindenberg in the previous problem?

If homosexuality is genetic, the proof must be out there somewhere.
What will the world do if that gene is discovered and then another is found which causes pedophilia and yet another, that causes zoophilia?
Won't that open a whole, new can of worms?

I had a gallbladder operation in Jan. Supposedly to be small operation. In and out. Well when I woke up I felt great went home and that evening my stomach swelled and I was in horrible pain. Spent twelve hours in emergency screaming in pain. The next day in late afternoon my doctor finally ordered me to be opened up again. I didnt know what was wrong till I was entering the operating room. She finally emerged and told me i was only 1% of the population with this extra duct from my liver. apparently the bile was filling in my abdominal cavity and it was the worst pain ever. Apparently my organs could have ceased. What would you do? I had to wear a tube to empty the liquid for weeks after..Would you sue?
