Global warming is not a myth. If there is a conspiracy, it is rather to convince us that global warming does not exist or is not due to our pollution.
Governments (in the Western "civilised" world) are the tool of greedy capitalists who are still making far too much money to want to leave Earth. So governments would not be interested in a space race just to escape global warming.
As for "hearing it here first", forget it. You are years behind.

It's just common sense. We are going to have to colonise space eventually or the human race will die out. The Earth itself will be fried by the sun in 4 billion years. We need to be out there and established long before that happens.
Politics might come into it but it would be better if the world's governments worked together and pooled their resources.

Nope global warming is due to us still using fossil fuels , but you are right in thinking they are looking for a way to get of this rock . They know a lot more than they let on , but hey i guess that is why they are in a position of power .

It's a "Star Wars" version of the Cold War, everyone is looking to claim bits of the Moon, Mars, etc for themselves.
You wait they'll be fighting in space in a few years time.

No, I think it's because we have the technology to get places, and everyone want the moon, mars etc for themselves.
Answer this: Has the UK space agency got any plan to build a moonbase or send people there etc.? Becuase it's always NASA, russia, china etc who do all the advanced missions...?
