These amazing star making nebulae seem intent on creating new stars. We find that many stars in our local galactic neighborhood have planets (over 200 discovered so far). If the point is to create a genesis for life, isn't it astounding that our galaxy, with its 100 billion or so stars, is only one galaxy in hundreds of billions? So my question is, do you think the whole point of all this is life and if so, wouldn't the odds dictate that we are highly insignificant in the larger scheme of things?

Hey! My name is Jessica and i have a project due tomarrow. I really don't know what I am doing so if someone could help me out, that would be great. The problem asks you to use the Intermediate Value Theorem to prove that a polynomial f(x)=1+2x+9x^2...3^101x^101 has a real zero.

Our class was doing the unknown carbonate/bicarbonate lab. Here was the question:

It is possible to cause a carbonate to decompose if heated to a high enough temperature. Write an equation that describes what happens when sodium or potassium carbonate decomposes upon strong heating.

I thought it would be K2CO3 ===> K2O + CO2

okay, I'm not sure how to say it but Z5 is Z(mod 5) I think.
there are four parts to this question and if I know the first two or three I think I might be able to get this so I appreciate the help.

A) In Z5 compute (a + b)^5.
B)In Z3 compute (a + b) ^3.
C) In Z2 compute (a + b) ^2.

or walk. The pain has moved about 2 inches in the last 2 days. I have also gotten a little dizzy with a upset stomach but that has only happened twice, and doesn't last for very long. I have used the Symptom Checker online and it all says that I could have a blood clot, I really don't think that is what it is, what else could it be, should I be worried. I don't want to go the doctor. (still paying off medical bills from my last baby) If it is a blood clot, do they move, do they go away? Or could it be something else. Help me please!!!
