For the upcoming science fair, I'm toying with the idea of such an experiment.
How do you think I could compare the bacteria in food samples? Is there some kind of solution that I could use with a food sample that could determine the level of contamination?
Oh, and please keep this relatively simple. I'm in the eight grade.

This is a gastric by pass surgery. I'm not talking about the lap band procedure.
This is the one where they give you a list of all the things that can go wrong & death is a the bottom of the list.
I understand that AMA was trying to get this surgery banned because of the high mortality rate.
I had mine done in 1998.

We want to know what numbers belong to the image of (a + 1)(a +2b) / 2, and I believe it's all natural numbers except those in the form of 2^n based on plugging in some numbers.

But I don't know how to start proving.

Solve each system of inequalities by graphing

x+y<8
x greater then or less then 0
y greater then or less then 0

( fyi, greater then or less than is this > with a line underneath)

technically I already have the answer

at y i have it plotted at 6 (y vertical line)

and at x i have it plotted at 7

My problem is I keep looking at this problem having no clue how that answer is true. I also dont understand the whole shade up or shade down thing (in this problem its shaded below so that with the line drawn it looks like a right triangle)

so to sum it up could someone tell me how to graph these types of problems?
