How would i figure this out. That is a sample problem, any help would be nice.

This looks like a Fibonacci series where the first two numbers are 6 and 10. To get the next number, add the two numbers before it. So, your series continues 42, 68, 110, 178, 288.

x + 6 = 10
6 + 10 = 16
10 + 16 = ?

It's tricky until you see the pattern!

Each number = sum of two previous numbers

the pattern is...you add the two previous numbers to get the third number. 42, 68, 110, 178....etc.

well each time they are adding 10, so the next 5 would be 36, 46, 56, 66, 76
