When isolating the variable b1, you want to get it by itself. To do that, you must somehow move 1/2h and b2 to the other side.

A= (b1 + b2) / 2h

First, lets move the 2h to the other side. To move it to the other side we must do the opposite. What is the 2h doing to the equation right now? It is dividing. And the opposite of dividing is multiplying.

2hA = b1 + b2

Now lets move the b2 over to the other side. It is adding so the opposite of that is subtracting.

2hA - b2 = b1

And there you go. Try doing the next one on your own.

A = 1/2h (b1+b2)
1/2h (b1+b2) = A
1/2h(b1+b2)* 2h = A* 2h
b1 + b2 = 2Ah
b1+b2-b2 = 2Ah-b2
b1 = 2Ah-b2

I = Prt
Prt = I
Prt/Pr = I/Pr
t = I/Pr

1. Each point in a coordinate plane corresponds to an intersection of real numbers.

2. In the order pair (2,5), the y coordinate is 5.(where x=2, y=5)

3. The x-axis and the y-axis divide the coordinate plane into four quarters.
