this is my question
Hans stands at the rim of grand canyon and yodels down to the bottom. He hears his yodel echo back from the canyon floor 5.20sec later. Assume that the speed of sound in air is 340.0m/s. How deep is canyon at this location?
Okay this what i don't understand is i use my equations and i get a result different then the the answer give in the book
and correct answer is 884m and i get is double of it which is 1768, so if anyone could help me understood it and how to get it.

This how our universe began..correct me if I'm wrong but you need proof.
Outside our universe there is another universe.
Now we were one massive black hole.
16 billion years ago we exploded creating what is now our universe.
We are expanding within the other universe.
one day we will become part of that other universe when we slow down to its speed..
And then we will see more galaxy's than we ever dreamt possible...amen

Ok when the big bang happened the universe was formed and began to expand outward, now here is what i'm confused about, time moves forward as the universe expands, and the universe becomes a bigger place so if a person was to travel back in time would everything be smaller because the universe was smaller at the time you travelled back to, sure going back in time 20 years probably wouldn't make a difference but what about 100 millions years ago, wouldn't sub atomic particals be smaller because the whole universe was smaller and more compact?
