Suppose a treadmill has an average acceleration of 4.7 * 10^ -3 m/s^2

a) How much does its speed change after 5.0 min?
To find this I used the formula a=v/t (Acceleration = velocity / time) and when I solved it I got 1.41 m/s.

b) If the treadmill initial speed is 1.7 m/s, what will its final speed be?

In this second question I don't even know where to start. Can someone help me please?
Thank You! :D

okay..... let / mean dividing and - mean negative and minus. you will be able to tell if its a negative or minus.

and if you can i need the steps too.

1.[6+8(8/4)]-6

2. -7(2-(-1)-(-3)(4-9)

3. -8-2(-3)

4. 7-(-6)(-4)

5. -(-2)-4(3-2)

6. [5+16(24/8)]

7. 8(-1-3)-(-7)(-5-4)

8. -(4)-6(6-5)

9. -5-(-2)(6)

10. -(-7)-5(8-3)

11. -5(5+9)-1(9-7)

thats all.. and when a number like in number nine where it is like (-2)(6) in between the -2 and the 6 is an invisible times so you times them if they are like that with no sign inbetween them.

and if you are gonna say y dont you do this yourself dont.
cause i've done about fifty today. and im tired of them and im confused down to this point i just need help.

so please. help me.

If given the radius in feet and the arclength in feet, how do I compute the change in coordinates from point A to point B on a two dimensional graph? This is a common occurence in land descriptions. I believe it is called a simple curve. I understand how to calculate the chord, but I don't know how figure the difference in coordinates between point A (e.g. x = 1000 and y = 900) and point B (x = ?, y = ?). Seems like there's a way to reduce it to a right triangle, but I can't see how.
