will be $5 every day payable each morning. Then he gave the boy his first $5 bill.

Billy (who was broke before that) immediately decided that tonight he will buy ice cream to his girlfriend and himself (2 x $1.25 = $2.50), and continue to do so every day, until he has $15 to take her to the movies (2 x $7.50) instead.

On what day will they go to the movies?

If natural selection, mutations, polyploidy, and gene replication/duplication do not add new functional genetic information to DNA (they only delete, scramble, and copy existing information), then how exactly do you account for the astronomical increases in information required to arrive at human DNA with over 3 billion base pairs? And when I say that they copy information, this is subsequent to photocopying a page out of a book; no new information is added. Also, assuming you present a mechanism (which we do not currently observe), how would evolution accomplish this even within 3 billion years, unless it added at LEAST 1 necessary, coherent, and functional piece of information to this DNA every year? Finally, this does not even account for the proteins necessary to carry out instructions for the genome, the role that they play in eukaryote cells, the process of meiosis necessary for sexual reproduction, or the replication of 100 trillion cells necessary to produce a human.

does probability really work out in real life? of course, in a lottery or rolling dice, if you havent rolled a 6, just because your rolled a 1,2,3,4, and 5 on the last 5 tries doesnt make it any more likely to get a 6 on the 6th try since its random supposedly. so how can we really apply this to actual life scenarios,

for instance the probability of the next terrorist attack. now we have a good idea that one is inevitable, but of course that could be wrong, we might never experience another for the rest of our lives, then again thats not really a good bet... but we havent really seen anything since 9/11/01, so with every passing day doesnt the likelihood of a new terrorist attack become more likely? is this even applicable to probability considering the differnt factors at work (ie terrorist fundraising, planning, training, foiled plans by the authorities) that take time and would explain why we havent been unfortunate enough to witness another attack? can someone explain?

I've always wanted to know this. Everybody I've asked (and they're all smart) says math is such an important part in this, but I've rarely found anything having to do with math in this.

Plus, I'm already looking into my career path, and this has been given to me as a possibility. I'm a very good math and science student. And I like roller coasters. So yeah.

The standard enthalpy of vaporization (DeltaH°vap) of n-pentane (CH3(CH2)3CH3) is 27.6 kJ/mol.
The normal boiling point of n-pentane is 36.1°C.
Calculate the vapour pressure of n-pentane at 13.1°C.

And please explain how to solve?
