x=1 +t, y= 2t, z=4-3t

also diff scenario:
Find the point at which the line intersects the given plane:
x=1 + 2t, y =4t, z=2-3t; x+2y-z+1 = 0

Soccer player #1 is 9.3 m from the goal. If she kicks the ball directly into the net, the ball has a displacement labeled A. If, on the other hand, she first kicks it to player #2, who then kicks it into the net, the ball undergoes two successive displacements, Ay and Ax. What are the magnitude and direction of Ax and Ay?
Ax

Mmk I just need sort of a reminder of the steps.
Heres the problem:
9y+4=2y+25
I know to subtract 4 from four and 25 and that leaves me with:
9y=2y+21
Do I divide 2y bye 9y?

A bus traveled in a straight line for 3.2hours, with an average velocity of 88km/h. The bus stopped for 20 minutes, and then went south for 2.8hours at an average velocity of 75km/h. What is the average velocity for the ENTIRE trip (including when they stopped - it'd total 6.333 hours)?

What is the displacement for the ENTIRE trip?

Can someone help me with these 2 questions? I wouldn't normally ask but when you have a substitute that knows nothing about what you're learning it's hard to understand it!!

Thanks in advance....

I need help on a piecewise function:

f(x) = { x if - 5
{ (x+2)^2 if - 3 < x
{ -x + 4 if x > 0

1. Which of the following can be conclude about limit x --> 0 f(x)

a) The limit does not exist since the right- sided and left- sided limits approaching x = 0 differ.

b) The limit does not exist because the function is not defined at x = 0.

c) The limit exists, and it’s equal to four.

d) The left-sided limit exists, but the right- sided limit does not. Thus, the limit does not exist.

2. What type of discontinuity occurs at x = -3?

a) No discontinuity exists at x=3.

b) Jump discontinuity.

c) Infinite discontinuity.

d) Removable discontinuity.

3. Determine the limit x --> infinity f(x) = ???

Thanks in advance...

You're traveling in a straight line at an average velocity of 24 m/s. How long will it take you to go 560km?

I have no idea how to do this problem..it's tough to figure this stuff out when you have a sub that knows nothing about what he's teaching!

Work w/ an explanation would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.

I am doing the drawings for my extension and it involves a load of 12V halogen lamps, transformers and various switches.

Broadly speaking, would you normally work with Live to the left of the drawing, through the switches, then transformers and lamps on the right or is it more usual to work from top to bottom?

Thanks in advance for the intelligent answers, all those who wish to just snatch a point are welcome to waste their time posting facetious nonsense

I've been watching this magnificent comb structure grow over the past few weeks. It is amazing...as its inhabitants.

Lucky for me they choose to live inside the shutter outside my bedroom window, so I can observe them very closely, yet behind the window pane.

If they don't make honey...what do they do for work?
What are all those cones for?
Do they sleep?

I see them eating lots of other bugs; they steal some from the spider web...
