2/3(X-1)-1/5(x-3)=x+1
10(x-1) - 3(x-3) = 15(x+1)
10x-10-3x+9 = 15x+15
10x -3x -15x = 15 +10 -9
-8x = 16
x = -2

2/3x - 2/3 - 1/5x + 3/5 = x + 1
2/3x - 1/5x = 3/5 -2/3 - 1
10/15x - 3/15x = 9/15 - 10/15 - 15/15
7/15x = - 16/15
x = - 16/15 * 15/7
= - 16/7

Answer: - 16/7 or - 2 2/7
