i know the order of operations but its 4 divided by 9. how do you divide 4 by nine??!?! and then add 2 and get 6.

easy 6*7-3*(4+1) = 27

I need a little more luck with the 1st one

cracked it :-)

((4*2-2)^2)/9+2 = 6

or (4*2-2)*(4*2-2)/9+2 = 6

In order for problem one to work correctly it should read...
(4x2-2)^2/9+2 Explanation: Work out the parenthesis then take the answer to the second power, next divide by 9 then add 2 = 6
(4x2=8-2=6, 6 to the second power is 36 divided by 9 = 4 plus 2 is 6.

Answer 2: 6x7-3(4+1)=27
Explanation: 6 times 7 = 42 - 3(4+1=5), 42-3x5, 42-15=27

This does you no good unless you look over the order of operations and actually learn how to do this.

four times 2 minus 2 to the second power divided by 9 and plus 2

4(2) - 2^2/9 + 2 - sorry, this one elides me

six times seven minus three times four plus one

6(7) - 3(4 + 1) = 42 - 15 = 27

It would be easier to help you if you typed out the actual numbers instead of the words, but I'll try to help. The way we learned order of observations is with PEMDAS. Start with the parentheses, then exponents (that's when you do 2 to the second power), then multiplication and division (these two actually don't matter, you can do division and then multiplication as long as you do them before addition and subtraction), then addition and subtraction (these are like multiplication and division, they can be switched).
Hope that helps!

The order of operations are:

PEMDAS
P - Parenthesis
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S - Subraction
