you have 2 distinct gaseous compunds made from elements x and y:
compund 1: 30.43%x, 69.57%y
compund 2: 63.64%x, 36.36%y

when you react gas x with y, you get:
1 volume gas x + 2 volumes gas y -> 2 volumes compund 1

2 volumes gas x + 1 volume gas y -> 2 volumes compund 2

Assume simplest possible formula and determine relative atomic masses of element x and element y.

i don't understand how to incorporate the percents.

Okay...I'm aware of the theories that say: Space-time is curved onto itself and is finite without boudnary.

But consider this hypothetical situation:

if someone could tear space-time and somehow escape through this ....similar to the Earth analogy ...if Space-time were a sphere then you could just accelerate upwards and escape the topology of the sphere.

If this could happen, what would we observe? Is it just purely a philosophical inquiry ...would there be "nothingness"
would it be timeless ---what would a timeless nothingness entail??? immortality?

???

And whoever answers this, can you please explain it? I'm not just trying to get answers, I want to know how to actually do it =]

1. A freight train leaves a station traveling 60 miles per hour. Thirty minutes later a passenger train leaves the station in the same direction on a parallel track at a speed of 72 miles per hour. How long will it take the passenger train to catch the freight train?

2. A container company wants to make a cylindrical can with a volume of 1188 cubic inches. The formula V=piR²h represents the volume of a cylinder. In this formula, V represents the volume, r represents the radius of the cylinder's base, and h represents the height of the cylinder. Solve for h. What height should the company make the can if the radius of the base must be 6 inches?

(Yeah I'm not sure how to make a 'pi' symbol so i just wrote it in)

Thanks!

I'm not advocating ID or trying to irk evolutionists with this question, but how did symbiotic relationships such as the cleaner wrasse evolve? I can't figure out why other fish wouldn't eat the cleaner wrasse before they had a chance to figure out that it would be beneficial not to eat the cleaner wrasse.

I have a science fair coming up soon in which you have to provide a presentation of a topic and a working model. I have deceided to make my project on bernoulli's principle, but I am kind of confused how it works. Also, would a hovercraft using air to push off follow bernoulli's principle? the project is on this website: http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/science_fair_projects/89/401/932af3e19be52c06d1305dbb7bc3c39b.html

Whenever I watch the show, I always end up believing in the "spirit world" and ghosts, etc.

This is probably the creepiest episode:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnLwQel5f7E

The places are always in remote suburbs, and the people always seem overworked/white trash. :/

I wish the people interviewed talked more about the creepy experiences they had .. rather than basic info.

do u believe these stories?

answer what you know i got most of it done but got stuck on these?
X^2 - 6X+9 < 16

X^2 +2X > 3

X^2-4x-1 > 0

-2x^2+6X+15 = < 0

X^3+2x^2-4x-8 =< 0

2x^3+13x^2-8x-46 >= 6

4X^3-12^2 > 0

2X^3-x^4 =<0

I myself, believe that this is all facts. I believe that global warming-- is just the cause of lack of oxygen on earth (IE: less trees to breathe more Co2 and therefore less oxygen).
Co2= carbon dioxide. More trees, more oxygen, less messing up the earth.

Back on topic, people thought I was nuts with one of my questions if aliens were coming back to earth to help us.
Watch these videos on youtube, and explain to me if its true or not.

I am trying to figure this out and its driving me nuts because it doesn't come out right. OK ... here goes... I just bought a dog exercise pen. It is made up of 8 panels, each 2 feet wide. If I set it up as a square..meaning..4X4X4X4 feet. So thats 2 feet wide by 2 panels = 4 feet square and that equals 16 Square feet. Right?
But if I set the same 8 panels up as a rectangle, its 3 panels on each side = 6 feet and 1 panel on the end = 2 feet how come it comes to 12 square feet instead of 16'? Its the exact same 8 panels, that are each 2 feet wide. Its making me crazy trying to figure out why? Thanks alot.
