In the question, a lap is the length of the course, which is 2.5 km.
The jogger went 12.4km, or 12.4/2.5 = 4.96 ~ 5 laps
Thwe skateboarder went 16.6 km, or 16.6/2.5 = 6.64 ~ 6.6 laps.

1.6 km = 1 mile
1 yard close to 1 meter
1 lap on a track is usually 440 yards
so it's about 2 1/4 laps

The amount of laps in a mile depends on the length of your track. Find that out first. Then, if the lap is measured in meters, divide 1000 by the number of meters (1000 meters in a kilometer). If it's in feet, get the conversion from your teacher and ask them to help you out.
There are 5,280 feet in a mile, and 1.6 kilometers in a mile.

1.Divide the distance the jogger went by the length of the track.
2.Divide the distance the skateboarder went by the length of the track.
**It's a 2.5km track so one lap is 2.5km
**Miles do not factor into this question.

Not sure what you mean by laps, but if you are referring to an Olympic swimming pool:
1 lap = 50 metres
1000 metres =1 km
1000 divided by 50 =20
20 laps of a swimming pool = 1km

1 mile is 5280 feet.
1 kilometer is 3281 feet.
It is impossible to answer your questions because there is no way to know how big the track is you are running around.
