im going to start on a new med soon and they want to check my blood before to makes sure everything is ok(example, they said they want to check my platelets).......would they do a prick or have to actually fill up a big plastic thing with it?? im terrified of needles and blood! i will be nervous either way, but i would rather they do the prick on the finger then go to a vein in my arm with a needle!!

Well, I have always wondered, if you are in the passenger's seat, and have your face next to the wide-open window and the car is going 70mph, does that mean the wind is also hitting you at 70mph?

Or maybe it is hitting you at 70mph PLUS the amount that the news said it was traveling by.. I've always been so curious to find this out. Lol.

With 9^2=81, the 9^2 can be expanded to 9*9.
With 9^3=729, the 9^3 can be expanded to 9*9*9.

So they are very obvious and easy to understand.

But for something like this:
9^0.5
9^1/3
Although I can still understand the first one is taking the square root of 9, and the second one is taking the cube root of 9. I can't manually expand them easily and I have to use the calculator. Taking 9^0.7 as an example, I can neither treat as the sqaure root nor cube root of 9, so it's even more difficult to understand.

I want to expand them so that they are easier to understand, is this possible?

Thank you.

What is that rather strange sound that comes out from a closet next to the elevator?
I'm a receptionist on the 1st floor of the building right next to the elevator. All day I hear a strange "whishhhh" sound everytime someone goes up. And when someone comes down there is a strange "shhhhhhhhh" sound.

As you can see, i'm bored at work right now and i've been hearing it all day.
Sometimes it's really quiet, then all of the sudden "whishhhh"
It startles the hell out me.
