The police are investigating an accident. They have determined that the mass of car A is 2275kg and the mass of car B is 1525kg. From the skid marks and date for the friction btw tires and concerte, the police determined that the cars, when they were locked together, had a velocity of 31km/h at angle of 43 degrees north of the eastbound street. If the speed limit was 35km/h on both streets, should one or both cars be ticketed for speeding?

I am not a scientist, so please forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject. But based on the premise that a group of organisms is said to have common descent if they have a common ancestor, would Adam (and Eve) qualify as a common ancestor? Is this at least a possibility according to this theory? If not, why? Thanks....

Okay, here's the equation:

log(base 2)(24) - log(base 2)(3) = log(base 5)(x).

We're solving for x here. I get that you use the quotient rule.

Then you get:
log(base 2)(24/3) = log(base 5)(x)
log(base 2)(8) = log(base 5)(x)

But what do you do after that point and WHY do you do it (i.e. what rules say to do it that way)? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I'll pick a best answer TODAY!

Say one was given the following complex number in cartesian form, (2)-(2isqrt3) » a - bi. And one was told to transform it into polar form » rcis (theta).
Would one take the degree as 150, or -60. taking 150, will give the answer 4cis(5/6pi) and taking 60 will give 4cis(-1/3pi).

So which degree should one take, and why so?
