how does NASA take pictures of other planets so clearly? I'm assuming they take it using our satelites, but how does the information travel to our computers from the satelites? And some planets are light years away, how can the data be sent to the satelite with the picture so clearly?

In May next year CERN switches on its Large Hadron Collider (LHC) particle accelerator and collider to try and recreate the Big Bang 'in miniature' - does this worry you at all? They admit they don't know exactly what might happen, but assure us it's going to be safe (?) - so maybe it's US who perpetuate the death and birth of the universe each time we evolve enough to switch on another LHC. What do you think?

I am having a bit of a debate with a raw-food guru whom I very much respect but who I think may be fudging the facts on a certain issue. Namely, he claims that if chimps (of any species) have an abundant supply of plant food, they will eat virtually no meat (either vertebrate or invertebrate).

Is this true, or will chimps and other largely herbivorous/frugivorous primates continue to eat meat when they have sufficient plant food in their habitats? Also, whatever your answer, what is your source?

Thanks!

It's about eight feet tall, and has grown to that height in about three months. Its stem has a pink-purple-green tint with segments like bamboo. The leaves are about a foot wide with seven sections/prongs each, and also have a purple tint, though not as distinct as the stem. The berries are the most unique. They're clustered in spear shapes. The individual berries are spikey and a dark periwinkle color, with one spot that's magenta or hot pink. Any ideas?

That is so ignorant and uninformed. When Apollo was cancelled, geologists and astonomers were devastated. There were a million questions not answered about the moon.

Do you people really think that from 6 tiny landing spots on an area the size of Asia they were able to find out everything they wanted to know about the moon?

All astronomers and geologists would want to go to the moon. Apollo was cancelled due to budget cuts.

And to use the fact that we haven’t been back as some kind of proof we never went is so stupid. We haven’t got a supersonic airliner any more, so I suppose Concorde, which was 1960s technology like Apollo, was a hoax too.

Jeez, there is some real ignorance about space out there, and sometimes I get scared the internet and emails are helping to spread more ignorance than knowledge.
