The himalayas and the andes. But the longest range of mountains in the world is underwater in the ocean.
The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is a mostly underwater mountain range of the Atlantic Ocean and Arctic Ocean that runs from 87°N (about 333 km South of the North Pole) to subantarctic Bouvet Island at 54°S. The highest peaks of this mountain range extend above the water mark, to form islands. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge forms part of the global mid-oceanic ridge system and, like all mid-oceanic ridges, is thought to result from a divergent boundary that separates tectonic plates: the North American Plate from the Eurasian Plate in the North Atlantic, and the South American Plate from the African Plate in the South Atlantic. These plates are still moving apart, so the Atlantic is growing at the ridge, at a rate of about 5–10 centimeters per year in East-West direction.
Near the equator, the Mid-Atlantic Ridge is dissected into the North Atlantic Ridge and the South Atlantic Ridge by the Romanche Trench, a narrow submarine trench with a maximum depth of 7758 m, one of the deepest locations of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also the largest mountain range known to man

If you are asking about the largest/longest mountain range in the world, that would be the Andes (complete: Cordillera de los Andes), which stretches the whole length of the western coast of South America. For the highest mountain range, that would be the Himalayas, which is located in Asia (of course, Mt. Everest is located here).
However, if you would ask for the longest mountain range in the earth's surface, that would be the mid-oceanic ridges that run across the middle of the world's major oceans. These ridges are actually divergent zones, or the boundaries where two tectonic plates separate from each other, thus making new crust. This is the one responsible for the widening of the Atlantic ocean every year. This ridge then continues through the Indian Ocean, then proceeds across the southern Pacific
ocean before ending up on the coast of North America. At this part, it then transforms into the well known San Andreas Fault.
Basically, the mid-oceanic ridges are an important part of the world's tectonic system, since they are the ones responsible for the creation of new crust.
if you want to understand more about this very interesting topic, you may go to wikipedia and search plate tectonics.

Strip the water off the globe and you'll find the longest mountain range running down the middle of the Atlantic, around Antarctica, up the Indian Ocean and paralleling South America. It's name? The Mid Ocean Ridge, the single longest mountain range on the planet. It just gets forgotten about as although the ridge is anything up to 5000m above the Abyssal Plain it is underwater and invisible except where the volcanic islands, such as Ascension, the Canaries, Azores pop their heads out.
The longest surface mountains are the Andes/Rockies or Western Cordilliera along the west coast of the two American continents.
The highest range is Himalayas with all the worlds 8000m peaks being found there.
