Hurricanes and tornados are part of nature, which God created. I don't believe He sends them to punish people since they affect both good and bad at the same time. I do believe we can pray for protection from such storms, and it has been said that prayer has actually prevented such storms from striking an area. God loves all people equally, and it is reassuring to know that Jesus came not for the perfect but the imperfect. If you surrender all areas of your life to Him He will make your paths smooth and guide you unto the way that you should go.

God lets hurricanes and tornados come about on their own. He doesn't send them or any other natural disaster.
