I am proposing the use of a dewatering bag to filter sediment while dewatering a trench. The permitting agency would like more information on how the particle size filtered by the filter bag (U.S. sieve no. 80) compares with hay bales. Please provide any references if you can. Thanks!

I use Visual calculus (a website, google it) to practice my calculus. However, I stumbled upon this problem, and I think the website is wrong, I need a second opinion! The integral is as follows: 2e^x - 5 cos (x) dx, from [0, pi]. The websites answer is: 2e^pi - 2, however, I get 2e^pi - 7... This is the website, problem #5, thanks! http://archives.math.utk.edu/visual.calculus/4/ftc.10/index.html

Many popular science books make reference to black holes. When I picture a black hole, I tend to think of it as a pin-hole in a balloon....I think of this balloon as a universe surrounded by much less dense region. In this way, I think of a black hole like the drain at the bottom of a bathtub, with the matter sucked into it escaping into some other unknown region.

I visualize the black hole this way because I tend of think of the universe like a big balloon (with boundaries). I know this is not correct, but my brain can't imagine a black hole floating freely about in the "balloon's" empty internal volume. Where would the matter escape too?

Question-In-Summary: How should I visualize black holes using some earthly metaphor?

I have s recent roach invasion. Combat no longer works. I have been putting boric acid powder around... but some of them have retreated into the stove!

If I put it on the bottom floor of the stove (not the kitchen floor itself) under the broiler (which is under the gas burners that broil the food & heat the oven are located) do I have to worry about a heat/boric acid reaction? I rarely broil or bake, so if I have to sweep out the boric acid every time I use the oven, I will... but is it safe? Will the high heat transform the boric acid powder, perhaps release toxic fumes?

Thanks in advance...

(PS: I have cats, too...)

give me all the details. Creationists only please. Only answer if you have some actual information regarding actual theories and research done by creationists, or any scientific evidence that you can think of. I want to read up on this stuff. I'm looking for as much information as possible.

Do you think it takes as much faith to believe in evolution as it would to believe in any religion?
give me sites and references please so that I can study the stuff myself
opinions are like assholes, they run rampant on this site
I'm looking for facts. I've read a lot of stuff myself but I just like to ask this question every now and then to see if I can get something new or read something I haven't before.
If you had one hour before you died what information would you tell me to try to convince me. Bury me with the best stuff you can. I want it all cause I haven't looked into a lot of this stuff in a while and I'm trying to get up to speed here.
