ok so i am carrying out a reaction that produces an immense amount of Hydrogen ions and that needs to be done at a pH of 6.8. I have two acids for preparing buffers. the first acid has a pka of 6.3 and the second acid has a pka of 7.3. which acid would make a better buffer? or would water just work fine as a buffer?
