You distribute 3/5 through (1/2p+2q) which means you multiply each by 3/5 and rewrite.the expression to have (3/5 times 1/2 p = 3/10 p), (3/5 times 2q = 6q/5).
This gives you a new expression: 2p+(3/10 p)+(6q/5)+2/3.

2p and 3/10p make 2 3/10 p. This is 23/10 p.
Add 23p/10 and 6q/5 and 2/3.
The common denominator is 30.
After you convert each fraction so they all have the same common denominator of 30, add them.
69p/30 + 36q/30 + 20/30. This is (69p+36q+20)/30. You can't cancel out the whole numbers.

Hello: What do you mean? I have got not your point! only addition of these fractions? if yes, then:

2p + (3/5)* (1/2)p + (3/5)*2q + 2/3 = 2p + 3p/10 + (6/5)q + 2/3 = (23/10)p + (6/5)q + 2/3 = (1/30) (69p + 36q + 20).

I hope that I was able to help you!?

PS: * = Multiplication sign

do what's in the () first...3/5 x 1/2p =3/10p
3/5 x 2q = 3/5 x 2/1q = 6/5p
the () comes off and leaves you with 2p + 3/10p + 6/5q + 2/3
add alike variables 2p + 3/10p (break 2p into a fraction) 1 10/10p + 3/10 = 4 1/10p
so your answer is 4 1/10p + 2q + 2/3

2p + 3/5(1/2p +2q) +2/3

= 2p + (3/10)p + (6/5)q + 2/3
finding the common factor on the denominator, which is 30
we have: (60p + 9p + 36q + 20)/30
= (69p + 36q + 20)/30

I think it is required to rewrite the expression, removing parentheses:
2p+ 3/5(1/2p+2q)+2/3. We can write as:
2p+3/(10p)+6q/5 +2/3. Answer.
