Two rainstorms occurred in one week in a certain area. In the first rainstorm 20 ml of rain fell per hour, and in the second rainstorm 25 ml of rain fell per hour. Rain fell that week for a total of 50 hours for a total rainfall of 1175 ml. How long was each of the two rainstorms?

How are animals, insects etc, able to evolve defences against predators - which killed their ancestors?.?

The later ones could not have seen what happened, so how are they able to know, that before they are even born, they need to evolve a certain defence mechanism, which can prevent this happening again?. Reincarnation perhaps?.

why does our mood change because of the moon?

i work ina nursery, and around this time of year they are starting to get a little more hyper than usual. i asked my tutur about this and she told me itsw because of the moon being so low in the sky. and then she went on about the dark days and stuff (i live in scotland, UK) so i was just wondering how everyones mood changes because of the moon?
