I know so far that starch has an adehyde group but it is too small in comparison to the rest of its own molecule. The experiment used benedict's solution to determine wheter there was a reaction of glucose or not. Starch did not give a positive glucose test. Why?

Would it work to just bounce a laser* off of a piece of silvered mylar - letting raw speech vibrations shake the mylar? [this is as for the sending end]
...As for a simple receiver, could you bounce the laser up into a flat piece of black construction paper with a small number (50-100?) grains of sand, (perhaps needing a hearing cone to help)?
* which could also be sunlight

(A ) travels due north, and at any given time B travels directly towards A. Eventually, B's course will approach due north. At that time, how far apart will the boats be?
I did this graphically and got about .4d. Can you show me how you solved this, and what kind of curve is B's course? Is it something easy, or some unobvious series?
I will appreciate any help you can give me.

In this modern day we are lucky to have witnessed images from the hubble space telescope and to discover so much about our galaxy and beyond. Yet its something you will only hear about on Nova or Discovery. It's rarely big news unless we touch down on the moon or next will be mars and soon after people stop talking about it. People talk about religion and gather in churches to discuss God yet we have so much to talk about in terms of what's beyond our world and ourselves. I just dont get people. I like to think while im on this earth ill like to learn as much about the world and beyond as well as form bonds with one another and set religion aside as just a figment of peoples imagination.

Im in the middle of the north sea between the shetland islands and stavanger{norway}
And last night and to night there are lots of shooting stars.
At first i thought that it was a distress flare, I contacted the control room who in turn contacted the supply boat and the standby boat.
and they both agreed it was not a distress signal.
So the only answer is The war of the worlds, or shooting stars.
I noticed that there where other questions to this phenomenon.
But they where in london.????
