I want to get some baskets for under a table in my house and the measurements are 6.25Hx16Wx14D" . I know that the first one is the height and the second is the width but what is the third is it depth or diameter and if it is diameter then what does that mean? If it is depth then is that meant to be the same as lenght. I want to make sure i am measuring this right before i order this.

I just want to see how good all of us are at math. I found this question looking at tests from old competitions:

If n is an integer and its absolute value is greater than or equal to 2, prove that (n^5)-n is divisible by 30.

In the asteroid impact theory of the extinction of the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago, the dinosaurs (and over half of all the other species on the earth at that time) died off largely because:

a)the impact caused massive earthquakes and volcanic activity worldwide.
b)of injuries suffered from direct hits of pieces of the asteroid or comet.
c)dust settled on the leaves of plants, making them inedible, so the animals died of starvation.
d)dust injected into the stratosphere from the impact absorbed visible light from the Sun, causing global temperatures to plummet.

During the battle of Gettysburg, the gunfire was so intense that several bullets collided in mid-air and fused together. Assume a 5g union musket ball was moving right at a speed of 250m/s, 20 degrees above the horizontal. A 3g confederate ball was moving to the left at a speed of 280m/s, 15 degrees above the horizontal. Immediately after they fuse together.

1.what is their velocity??

2.what is their kinetic energy??

3.was this elastic or inelastic, why?

Find constants a, b, c, and d such that:
4x³ - 3x + √3/2=a * (x-b) * (x-c) * (x-d)

Rules:

#1: Your factors must be exact. No numerical approximations allowed.
#2: Neither the imaginary constant, nor the square root of any negative number may appear in your answer.
#3: Your answer must be simple. Nothing more complicated than a trigonometric function may appear in your answer.
#4: Yes, this problem is solvable.
