this has really got me confused im ment to use Thevenin's theorem to determine the current in a resistor on a simple DC circuit, when i type Thevenin's theorem into a google search it just confuses me more i dont understand how to apply that formalua to a given circuit, i was hoping to find a formalua triangle Eg V = I x R, XL = 2(pie, 3.14)fL, ect ect but it seems much more complicated than that

could you please suggest any useful links or advice
many thanks

Our sun is not expected to burn out for another 5 billion years (it's already about 5 billion years old). But 2 billion years from now, our galaxy will collide with its neighbor. Suns and stars will be tossed around everywhere as the two galaxy becomes one.

Under the influence of a complicated collection of physical fields, the altitude h of a rocket from its moment at launch until its fall to Earth is given by the formula h(t)= t^4 - 8t³ + 375 where the altitude h is measured in feet and the time launch t is measured in seconds. What is the initial altitude? When does the projectile impact Earth? What is the max. altitude? What is its max upward velocity??? What is its max downward velocity??? What is its max upward acceleration??? What is its max downward acceleration???

OK, converting RS FF (which is with nand gates) to JK FF is simple. We just take K.Q as R and J.Q' as S, right?

But how can we prove it?

I am an electrical engineer with M. Sc. I studied calculas, engineering analysis numerical methods, probability and statistics, operation research and many math topics at engineering college. then i joined math department for three years. the new subjects where finite math ,foundations, linear algebra, abstract algebra, real analysis.
I was brilliant in all those subjects
I couldint continue my formalstudy. the remaining subject where topology, differential eqn theory, functional analysis and complex analysis.
Now I am trying to study the remaining subjects my selfwithout a professor. I have difficulity in constructing proofs or solving exercises. In fact i never liked proofs. should i continue my effort or stop to do somthing else.

The regular icosahedron is a solid whose 20 faces are congruent, equilateral triangles. It has 12 vertices. You can divide the vertices into three groups of four vertices that each define a rectangle going through the middle of the solid. The three rectangles are perpendicular to each other, and their one common point is the center of the icosahedron.

Prove that the three rectangles are Golden rectangles (their length/width ratio is phi = 1.61803...).
