I want to get some baskets for under a table in my house and the measurements are 6.25Hx16Wx14D" . I know that the first one is the height and the second is the width but what is the third is it depth or diameter and if it is diameter then what does that mean? If it is depth then is that meant to be the same as lenght. I want to make sure i am measuring this right before i order this.

D is indeed depth.
Think about any table you might have at home, height and width you understand but if it not a square then the width will be different from the depth.
For example my desk is 75 cm high, 1 metre wide and the distance from the edge nearest to me to the wall is 60 cm so it is 60 cm deep.
Hope this helps

D is depth in this case... if the baskets have handles, it is probably the distance from front to back, or perpendicular to the handle, with width being the length parallel to the handle.

6.25"H would be the depth of the basket from top to bottom. 16"W would be the width of the basket from the left side to the right side. 14"D would be the distance from front to back as you look at it.

You're right. It does mean depth. It is not the same as length. Order away. Regards.
