would the Sun, moon, and Mars be?

Now, it does not have to be a baseball, but some other small object of familiar size (basketball, golf, whatever). I remember hearing something similar a long time ago, and being blown away. Its an interesting scale question.

I suppose you would need quite a space suit to survive the collision with the atmosphere.

I am looking for a purely objective scientic answer here, not opinion. The reason I am asking is because sometimes people refer to evolution as 'the theory of evolution' and other times I hear it refered to as 'a scientific proof'. Again, I'm not looking for a beliefe here, I just want to know, scientifically speaking, which one is it?

A BMW of mass 1.2 103 kg is traveling at 41 m/s. It approaches a 1.2 103 kg Volkswagen going 26 m/s in the same direction and strikes it in the rear. Neither driver applies the brakes. Neglect the relatively small frictional forces on the cars due to the road and due to air resistance. If the collision slows the BMW down to 32 m/s, what is the speed of the VW after the collision?

In the railroad freight yard, an empty freight car of mass m rolls along a straight level track at 1 m/s and collides with an initially stationary, fully loaded boxcar of mass 3.5m. The two cars couple together upon collision.

(a) What is the magnitude of the velocity of the two cars after the collision?

(b) Suppose instead that the two cars are at rest after the collision. With what speed was the loaded boxcar moving before the collision if the empty one was moving at 1 m/s?

You know how most meteors that enter earth's atmosphere burn up before they reach earth? The friction between the meteor and the atmosphere produces a great amount of heat. How is a space shuttle protected from friciton when it re-enters the earth's atmosphere?

For an eigth grade science project, we have to make a vehicle (Most likely car-like), and it has to be able to travel on its own.

It must be made from scratch.
No electricity--at all.
Must move on it's own. (No pushing, ramps, etc.)

I'm looking for any ideas on how to make it move? And please be specific. (Like how to use rubber bands to make it move, or maybe springs, fire, balloons, etc.)

The basic idea is to make the car with Newton's laws in mind. (Every action has an equal reaction, objects in motion stay in motion...)
