It's a well known fact that flatulance is more intense in the shower, there are a number of possible reasons for this;
The confined environment of the shower decreases the rate at which flatulance can disperse, prolonging and concentrating the odour.
Also the higher temperature will cause the volatile hydrigen sulphide and ammonia present in particularly bad flatulance to 'fill' the cubicle faster and smell worse.
someone should do further experimentation so that people can predict how bad their flatulance will smell based on the following parameters;
shower cubicle volume
mean temperature of shower
Volume of flatulance
Flatulance variable (depends on type of food responsible, e.g mexican, indian)

Perhaps the heat of the shower open wider your olfactory receptors, thus facilitating the reception of the molecules released by flatulence. You could take cold showers to avoid this problem in the future; or not.

The flatulate (the resultant emission from your gastro intestinal tract) is methane + some occluded gas in your system. It does not dissolve in hot water.
Take a cold shower with a friend. Test the theory again. If still stays unproven then ask your prof.

You're probably showering with another guy. As we all know, other people's farts smell worse than your own.
