It seems we remember specific instances in detail if they're significant enough. And some people have photographic memories when it comes to printed/written material; could the human brain string that all together and remember every moment of every waking minute in our lives? (Spoken words, printed words, actions, etc.?)
If not, why not?

Thank you.

Last night, as I was putting away spare compact flourescent bulbs stored in a plastic bag, I saw a momentary glimmer in the bulbs as the bag was placed down. I repeated this action several times and was intrigued to note this phenomenon. Any explanations? Can static electricity do this?

Given that time-travel is theoreticaly possible, there's really nothing standing in our way other than figuring out how to do it.

Now...There are no time-travelers from the future around.

Given our current rate of technilogical advance, I think that we should be able to time-travel in the next 100 years. So it's my conclusion that sometime in the near future, we are going to die before we reach that capability.

Fair assumption?

As I understand,we are able to see things around us by light rays reflecting off of objects. So therefore if an object was travelling at the speed of light the light rays would not be able to bounce off of it and we would not be able to see it?

What type of education should I get to go into a career in genetic engineering? Not genetics exactly, more of the DNA-manipulating aspect of it.
