It's easier to answer the reverse question. In what countries is there no conflict due to religion? That's the list of countries where there is no interaction between two or more people. I can think of some uninhabited 'countries' that would qualify. When people interact, there will always be conflict. Some is based in religion, some is not. One person completely alone who never interacts with another human can still have conflict with God. The basic cause of conflict is the will of man. If man chose to live in harmony with God, there would also be harmony among men.

if there is a country that has more than one religion there will be conflict in one way or anouther. The Golapigos Islands don't have anybody living on them, so there is no conflict. The reason for religious conflict does'nt make much sense as we all pray to a higher power for peace love, and hope. So saying that one persons higher power is better than anouther one kind of goes against what we are saying that higher power stands for. Unless you are a Satanist.

Pick just about any country at war and, if it isn't economic, then its religious. Remember that most countries who claim to be at war due to a religious conflict usually have a political underlying tone. Boil that down further and it becomes economic. Bottom line, most wars are due to economic problems of one form or another and are often masked by religious or political fronts. Examples, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Beirut, South Africa, Congo, etc.

And don't kid yourself, internal wars like the war on drugs in Columbia: Economic
War on Terror: Economic

Its all about who has the money because from money comes control and power.

Have a nice day...and don't worry, this crap has been going on for centuries, just in different forms.
