It seems we remember specific instances in detail if they're significant enough. And some people have photographic memories when it comes to printed/written material; could the human brain string that all together and remember every moment of every waking minute in our lives? (Spoken words, printed words, actions, etc.?)
If not, why not?

Heck, I can't remember what I did yesterday!! Of course, I'm getting old and I have CRAFT disease....Can't remember a f ' in thing!! I doubt there's ever been anyone who has remembered everything.....although there seem to be a lot of folks who KNOW it all!!

I don't think it's possible because emotionally we aren't setup to handle it.
