would the Sun, moon, and Mars be?

Now, it does not have to be a baseball, but some other small object of familiar size (basketball, golf, whatever). I remember hearing something similar a long time ago, and being blown away. Its an interesting scale question.

I'm not sure why people that don't have the answers waste so much space.
The moon is about 28 earth diameters away. The Sun would be 11,000 Earth diameters away. Mars would be around 4,000 Earth diameters away at it's closest.
Just multiply those by the diameter of whatever object you're using to represent the Earth.

The average distance between Earth and Moon is approximately 30 times Earth's diameter.
The Sun happens to be 400 times the Moon's diameter, and 400 times as far away. That coincidence means the Sun and Moon appear to be the same size when viewed from Earth. A total solar eclipse, in which the Moon is between the Earth and Sun, blocks the bright light from the Sun's photosphere, allowing us to see the faint glow from the corona, the Sun's outer atmosphere.

This isn't a direct answer, but on the Mall in DC, the Smithsonian has set up placards with scale model planets on them, the earth is about the size of a marble if I remember correctly. To walk to any of the the other "planets" is several dozen to several hundred feet, and the "sun" is over by congress, which is about a quarter mile away from the earth placard. It is a good example of just how vast the solar system is.

It would be wayyyy more than a few feet.

If the earth were the size of a peppercorn, then the sun would be the size of a bowling ball. Using this scale,
- the sun would be 26 yards from Earth
- Mars would be 14 yards from Earth
- Pluto would be 993 yards from Earth (!)

If you want Earth to be the size of a baseball, scale up the distances accordingly.

Thinking in terms of a softball, about 12.5 cm (5 inches), the scale would be 100,000,000 : 1
That would make the distance from the earth to the sun about
1.45 km (0.93 miles) and to Mars at the nearest about 41.8 meters (137 feet), the moon would be about 3 meters (10 feet) away

Do you advise Proxima Centauri the closest celebrity to our sunlight? I did some scale fashions of the universe in a e book I wrote. i did no longer use this one, yet i will discern approximately. If the sunlight is a foot or 12 inches in diameter, Proxima Centauri is 5500 miles away. A BASEBALL IS WHAT? 3" or so extensive. That'd make Proxima Centauri approximately 1400 miles away.

You are talking of two different dimensions. One is size of the object and the other is the distance between objects (or relative distance from sun)

Let assume you are in a space ship and when you look at the earth its size is comparable to that of a baseball? Now you want to compare other planets?

Will appreciate if you can provide clarity

the moon would be like 5 feet away, the sun like a foot ball field away. and mars half a foot ball field ( this is a guess)

i saw this on Bill Nye..........mars would be about 3 or 3 and a halh feet but earth was the size of a marbal
