I need help to find what affect happens to a carrot when its placed in salt and tap water.

In tap water, It will swell because its a hypertonic environment.
In salt water, it will shrivel because its a hypotonic environment.

When a carrot is put in tap water it continues absorb water and grow. When a carrot is put in salt water it will shrivel as the salt water draws the water out of the carrot by diffusion . Water flows from high concentration to lower.
