There are many causes of excessive sweating, hormone imbalance, weight, stress the list is endless. A quick visit to your GP should help eliminate many of these and may give you a positve remedy. Salt tablets could possibly be given (by your GP) do not increase your daily salt intake without Medical Advice. Please make sure that you are drinking much more than you normally would as you will have to bear in mind that your body is losing fluid through your skin. Should you be too embarassed to go to your Doctor then large Chemists do stock Driclor which is highly effective (if a little more expensive than your usual anti-persirpant). Botox should only be considered when you have explored all other options as it can be dangerous and is costly. Good luck.

If it's under-arm excessive sweating buy Driclor from over the counter at all good chemists. It's an aluminium based compound (a clear liquid) that you apply as a roll-on before you go to bed. You then won't sweat for over a week. It used to only be available on prescription but you can buy it for about £5.

It also saves a fortune on anti-persperant and means your shirts won't get ruined with the white underarm stain.

Botox stops excessive sweating by paralizing the musles/glands that cause it. It is perfectly safe and can be done on the NHS, in fact this is where Botox first came about to stop this problem and for people with facial twitches. and crossed eyes. It is very effective. Ignore anyone who slags it off as they are ignorant and just associate it with vain celebraties. I have actually had it for wrinkles and I don't care what people think. It works and is very good. I know someone who has it under their arms on the NHS and would not look back. Speak to your doctor about it. I actually put the botox question on just now weirdly enough!!!

either you have a sweating disorder or you just sweat a lot, you can go to your doctor to check out if you have a sweating disorder. if you do then your doctor will recommend procedures to help you stop sweating so much. you can get botox on your armpits to stop sweating there permanently or have your hands shocked in water with electricity every 6 months or so to control your sweating, there may be other procedures that i don't know about. hope this helps!!

I wouldn't. And you shouldn't either. Sweating is naturally cooling your body. And don't buy the crap these pharmaceutical companies are trying to put in people''s heads about stopping it. They're just trying to raise the bottom line. You should be thankful for such a "problem". Sweat on!

I shaved my underarms and my excessive sweating stopped immediately. I actually use an epilator and it keeps the hair from coming back so quickly.

Take care,

I have empowered the services of a small asian dwarf to wipe the sweat from my body. Works a treat although a difficult one to explain in a board meeting.

Why stop sweating it is a way your body fights over heating using a negative feedback loop. If you try any medicines you should talk to a doc.
