If you are given two functions how do you find their points of intersection?

The functions I'm personally working with are y=xsquared and y=4x-(x squared). I have the answer: (0,0) and (2, 4), I just don't know how work the problem.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

What do you think Winter 2006-2007 will be like? Many predict it will be cold. For example, both Farmer's almanacs predict a cold and snowy winter for 2006-2007 while last year one predicted cold and snowy and one predicted hot and dry. The one who predicted hot and dry was right. Plus many forcasters and weather folk lore people believe this could be a big winter by that I mean cold, snowy, and long. Only the Government is predicting a warm winter, but this is from the same people who said Hurricane season this year would be as bad if not worse than last year! So what do you think? I hope it will be cold and snowy!

"x represents the average annual replacement market volume for tire companies in millions of units, and y represents the cumulative dollars spent per tire.

What does this model predict the cumulative dollars spent pertire will be when the average replacement market is 10 million units?

What does this model predict the average replacement market will be if the cumulative dollars spent per tire is 5.0?"

I understand the concept, I just don't know how to enter it into my calculator. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
